Castex 5 - Munsters

Here's a neat Munsters item that is rare as you might guess - The Munsters Castex 5 Casting set from 1964. You could make a pretty good living selling the statues on eBay! Not the most desirable graphics on the box, but mighty cool nonetheless.

Goolie Goodies

The Chemtoy figures. I don't know what happened to my my Goolies. I have Drac, but need the rest of the set!  I recall some of the figures had balance issues..

Hot Wheels!

I loved hot Wheels. I really did. I think a lot of the attraction was the Mattel art work. Back in the day, all toys had paintings, or drawing on the packages, and I always felt that art was way cooler than the photographs of today's toys. A seriously cool rack toy. The Gruesome Mansion Pinball game. From 1973, really, after the end of the monster craze. Wish I had one!

A 1966 goodie was Topps' Ugly Buttons. Not quite a toy, or gum card, but cool as the Dickens..

Addams Family Game

Ideal's 1964 Addams Family board game. I love the design of this game. The game board is suitable for framing alone! I wish I had one!

Munsters Syringe!

Here's a rare one from 1964. Hasbro's The Munsters Hypo-Squirt. A Munsters themed water gun in the shape of a rig! This sold on eBay for just under $2,500! Cool & weird toy, but Wow!

Space Kidettes Puzzle

A scarce example of merch for The Space Kidettes. I think this was an underrated  Saturday morning show from Hanna-Barbera. Good stories and very little "cuteness". It aired on NBC-TV from 1966 - 67.

Batman Give-A-Show

What an incredibly cool toy! The Batman Give-A-Show Bat-Projector! This was from The U.K., by Chad Valley licensed by Kenner. Why Kenner didn't release this in the states I'll never know. I'm a sucker for the Kenner projectors anyway, but with Batman in the mix, I would've died to get this as a kid! When they started putting photos of the toys on the box instead of artwork like this, toys were less desirable I believe. It's from 1966, natch. "As seen on ABC Television" 

Early Computer Horror

An ad for Crypt Of The Undead for a Horror themed adventure game for Atari home computers. I'd guess it was from 1980 - 82, or so. I never had this but the ad looks intriguing...

Fright Factory

The ultimate Thingmaker set! I will never forget the smell of Plastigoop cooking in the Thingmaker. I always had a soft spot for Mattel Toys (1967)

Dracula Meets View-Master

Here's the Dracula set of View-Master from 1975. I had the Frankenstein companion set. They were actually models Ala The Rankin-Bass movies / TV shows.  Mad Monster Party comes to mind. Neat

Milton Puzzle

One of the few pieces of Milton The Monster merchandise is this neat Whitman Jigsaw puzzle. For some reason Professor Weirdo is in the same class as Milton despite the fact that he was able to create Milton out of chemicals, and a mold! Also, well he IS a professor....
