The Remco Space Sled, inspired by ABC-TV's Land Of The Giants (1968 -1970) Neat box art, and with photos, yet!

For the cool kids of 1962

You would have been the talk of the block tooling around in this baby! A deluxe Flintstones Pedal Car!

1966 Batman Sweepstakes

Proctor & Gamble, one of the sponsors of the ABC-TV Batman show had a very cool contest, as seen here in this ad. Stores that sold P&G products gave away the "Bat-Scene" tickets, and on 10-20-1966, Batman (Adam West, natch!) would reveal the winning Bat-Scene. The above ad appeared in major magazines, such as Life, Look, and all the biggies of 1966..
Promoted also on coupon flyers via Sunday newspapers, and  Proctor & Gamble package inserts...
Recently an unused Bat-scene ticket turned up on eBay. I don't know... I'm afraid I would be tempted to open it.
As far as I know, nobody knows which Bat-scenes were winners.. It would be cool to find the footage of  Adam West revealing the winning scenes..

Addams Family Meets Famous Monsters!

Here's two neat Captain Company ads from an issue of Famous Monsters Of Filmland. Not sure which issue, 1964 - 65 was certainly the year. I have a reproduction box of the The Thing bank original packaging. I'd love to ad both originals to the Crypt Collection!

Green Hornet Stickers

Topps' Green Hornet Stickers were so cool.  Donruss had Green Hornet cards out at the same time but they were second best to these babies. [1966]

Dark Shadows 1967

From the great Collinsport Historical Society website comes this cast photo of the cast of Dark Shadows from mid 1967. Of course Jonathan Frid is in the center, fangs all out and stuff....

Dark Shadows Wrappers

Dark Shadows wrappers from the green, and purple (1st) series, 1969, and 68 respectively. I still need a purple series wrapper for  the crypt!

Milton Meets Milton (Bradley)

Here's a cool item - A Milton The Monster Game, by Milton Bradley from 1965. Milton aired on ABC from 1965 - 1968. It was the best of Hal Seeger's efforts. The show also featured Fearless Fly, Muggy Doo, and Stuffy Durma (which sounds nasty), and others. Bob McFadden did all the voices, and was great at his job.

Jonny Quest: The Robot Spy

Remember this Jonny Quest episode? It featured the almost invincible "Robot Spy"... When found, it was taken in to be studied by Dr. Quest, and the military. It morphed from a flying saucer into the cool spider-bot thing! (ABC-TV, 1964)
Someone (Owner?) did a neat backyard tribute with an old V-Dub...

Jonny Quest Premium

Here are some great in-store displays for the P.F. Flyers Jonny Quest Magic Ring. The thing was, you had to buy a pair of P.F. Flyers to get the ring! I can only imagine the pressure put on the parents at the shoe department!

Jonny Quest Paint By Number

I ran across this Transogram Jonny Quest Paint By Number Set.. There is very little Jonny Quest merchandising compared to almost every other Hanna-Barbera series, especially one as successful as JQ. The package design is eye-catching as well. Either 1964, or 65.

ABC Cartoon Coolness

What a great deal. ABC-TV thought of us kids on Thanksgiving! Cartoons, plus Happening '68. They had me at Milton The Monster.

Addams Family Game

Ideal's 1964 Addams Family board game. I love the design of this game. The game board is suitable for framing alone! I wish I had one!

Batgirl: ABC-TV

Here's a great promotional photo of Yvonne Craig as Batgirl. Maybe part of a press kit, or the 1966 TV Guide Fall Preview issue. Vintage photo of a great Gal..

Batman Give-A-Show

What an incredibly cool toy! The Batman Give-A-Show Bat-Projector! This was from The U.K., by Chad Valley licensed by Kenner. Why Kenner didn't release this in the states I'll never know. I'm a sucker for the Kenner projectors anyway, but with Batman in the mix, I would've died to get this as a kid! When they started putting photos of the toys on the box instead of artwork like this, toys were less desirable I believe. It's from 1966, natch. "As seen on ABC Television"

Batman And Monsters!

Castle Of Frankenstein #9. The Batman craze of 1966 - 1967 was big, and even Monster magazines got in on the bat-fad! Cesar Romero as The Joker adorns the cover of this one.
Even Warren magazines had some Batman stuff, notably Monster World #10, so I will dig that one up later...
