Captain Action!

Captain Action ad from a D.C. comic above, and below, the back of Action Boy's box. These were before my time a bit, but man, had I seem 'em in the store I would've desired these rascals very much..

JSA vs Solomon Grundy

I don't know if this was published, but here's a great piece - The Justice Society of America vs. the wicked Solomon Grundy, by Wally Wood. Coolness factor 8.

Super TV Heroes #1

This is on my want list indeed. Hanna-Barbera Super TV Heroes #1, Gold Key, 1968. I always had a soft spot for Gold Key anyway, and this brings back a lot of cool Saturday Morning memories..

Sexy Sue!

Jack Kirby renders a very sexy Sue Storm pin-up... I think it's from one of the early Fantastic Four Annuals / Specials. Obviously before our Sue married Reed Richards. I imagine it would be hard to win her away when you consider all of those nutty stretching talents he has...

Hanna-Barbera Heroes!

Space Ghost Model Sheet (1966)

Here is Alex Toth's model sheet for Hanna-Barbera's Space Ghost. I never got why the ghost never wore boots. It's no big deal, but it was...different. Great show. This was H-B at their best. (CBS, 1966)

Adventures of Electro-Man

A cherished coloring book from my youth. I am lucky enough to still have it. It is as cool as it looks.

Marvel Super Heroes, 1966

Two more ads for the syndicated Grantray Lawrence series, Marvel Super Heroes. Each day, one of five heroes starred in a 3 part adventure. Thor, Captain America, Sub Mariner, Iron Man, and The Hulk.

Marvel Super-Heroes (1966)

Here's an ad for the Syndicated 1966 Grantray-Lawrence Marvel Super-Heroes show. The animation wasn't the greatest, but it was neat. It also featured the coolest theme songs since ABC-TV's Spider-Man show (Also a Grantray-Lawrence show, natch!) The Iron Man song is my favorite...

Thor's Cabbage Rolls.

This is a real recipe, but I've never tried it...
