Here's a mystery photo. I never knew Gordon Solie made any appearances on WWWF television shows. This was clearly in the mid-seventies, and has an HBO dingbat in the corner of this screencap. Anyone know?
I seen a video on youtube of ehen Vince McMahon was on Bob Cautus (or how ever you spell his name). And yhey showed the video and this pic came from that video. All I have on this is that when the video clip played Vince said and I Quote:- "Hello I'm Vince McMahon here along side The Man With The Golden Tan, Gordon Solie to bring you another exciting show here on BOX OFFICE SPORTS.. What ever that is. But this is really intriguing to me as well and I would love to know more about it as well!!
This was taken at the Omni in Atlanta, where Vince and Solie worked together. McMahon called the play-by-play, while Solie provided colour commentary. Here's a rundown of the card: was apparently this one:
12/10/76 Atlanta, GA No dq Match NWA Champion Terry Funk beat Mr. Wrestling II Ole Anderson & Gene Anderson beat Ricky Steamboat & Dusty Rhodes Georgia Champion Dick Slater beat Mr. Wrestling I Mongolian Stomper beat Bill Dromo Mike Graham beat Bob Orton Jr Black Atlas beat Scott Irwin Raymond Rougeau beat Bill Howard (sub George Two Ton Harris)
