There was some carnival / county fair shows that did the "Horrors Of Drugs" type shows which often had gruesome scenes with things like a hippie couple so high that they were eating their baby, and other such business.. These sort of faded away by the mid, to late 1970s.
An ad for Crypt Of The Undead for a Horror themed adventure game for Atari home computers. I'd guess it was from 1980 - 82, or so. I never had this but the ad looks intriguing...
